Clean Ocean Access is proud to announce that the Newport branch of the Navy Health Clinic New England is now participating in our Flexible Cleanup Program, which is designed to improve ocean health by removing debris from the shoreline.
Volunteers from the Navy Health Clinic will perform monthly cleanups at Pebble Beach in Middletown, where they will tally and weigh the debris they collect and remove. The efforts during these cleanups are expected to have a positive impact on ocean health and the surrounding environment.
Pebble beach is a popular spot where many people enjoy recreational ocean activities, such as fishing and walking the shoreline. Regularly removing debris from this portion of coastline will enable future generations to continue to enjoy ocean activities at this location.
